FIH Erhvervsbank receives guarantee from Finansiel Stabilitet A/S – providing guarantee of DKK 50 billion on behalf of the Danish State

Today FIH Erhvervsbank has entered into agreement with Finansiel Stabilitet A/S, which on behalf of the Danish State has issued guaranteed line to FIH Erhvervsbank of DKK 50 billion. The guarantee has been issued as an addition to Bank Package I.

The guarantee allows FIH Erhvervsbank over the coming year to issue stateguaranteed loans and bonds with a maturity of up to three years. Issues under the guarantee will be rated at the same level as the State, currently Aaa / AAA (Moody’s / Standard & Poors). The guarantee covers FIH Erhvervsbank’s requirement for financing in the coming years. FIH Erhvervsbank expects to issue the first loans backed by the individual state-guarantee from the third quarter 2009.
