Treatment of Personal Data
Upon registration of new customers, FIH gathers information about the customer in question, such as name, address, CPR or CVR no. and other information needed for administration of the customer relationship and for customer advisory services. During the customer relationship, in connection with transfers and payments etc., FIH may request and treat additional information about the customer with a view to making correct transactions, while information may also be gathered from public records (for example address information from the Danish Civil Register).
The customer is entitled to know what information FIH is treating, and may request that incorrect information is corrected. If the information is disclosed to other parties, the recipient will be informed of any corrections. Disclosure of confidential information
According to the Danish Financial Business Act, FIH's duty of confidentiality allows for disclosure of confidential information subject to approval by the customer only, or in the event that FIH is entitled to disclose information. However, occasionally, FIH is required to disclose information, for example to the tax authorities or the FSA. If the customer approves the disclosure of information, the customer may be informed, on application to FIH, about which type of information may be disclosed, for what purposes the disclosure may take place, and to whom the information may be disclosed subject to the customer's approval.
